Hi folks. We are on board the Jenna, a Yangtze River Cruiser.

It looks like this may be an interesting cruise...

We had a good flight from Shanghai but we were mobbed by a group of 40 Aussies travelling as a group. Darned if they weren't in the same restaurant as us and darned if they are not on the ship with us. However, they (as well as us) are minimized by about 322 Chinese on board. Actually Aussies are not a bad lot to be travelling with, but unfortunately this lot is from the Melbourne area, and you know about them. There is even one from Castlemaine!

We were again upgraded to a very nice mini suite on board, nice room: really nice room.

There is limited internet on board so we trekked up to the bar as the barman looks after the wireless arrangement on board. I tested it and it works, but we are docked. So I may be out of contact so be prepared for radio silence folks.

By the way, I found out that we have free Internet because we booked with Access China. Hmmmm, I wonder what else is free here?

Long day, I think I may return to the cabin for a shower and a good sleep.

By the way, please forgive my spelling mistakes, I am using a strange keyboard.

  1. Wowwww - you are lucky indeed... The only thing better than being on board with 40 Aussies from Melbourne is to be on board with 400 Aussies from Melbourne (and Castlemaine)!!!!!! Actually, I hope that these are well behaved Aussies and that you will have lots of fun and fellowship with them? But if the worst comes to the worst..... it's only for a few days!!! Rod.
