It seems that the pace of the ship changes after a Port Day. People exhaust themselves to various degrees in port, so, the next day, if a sea day, is a bit of a slow starter. Today was such a day. We did our exercise bit but there was no Tai Chi because the instructor is Jewish, and Saturday is their Sabbath.
Tomorrow is Wellington where we are on a tour that is given to people in our suite category. If it is as before it will be a first class show, a bit stuffy and set, but top drawer. There will not likely be any adventure tomorrow, just a bit of culture and insight into New Zealand life. [With a bit of Maori thrown in.] Actually I am looking forward to that more than the stuffy part or another nice luncheon.
The day after that is Christchurch, then Dunedin, then Fiord cruising, then two days at sea before Australia.
We are trying to line up a jet boat trip in Christchurch and possibly rent a car in Dunedin to go exploring.
Moe has another Coach Tour and the Cutlers are also on a special Travel Agent Tour. [Those are tours that certain travel agents give their clients, they have a total of six this year, this will be their second.]
At this writing I can see the coast of New Zealand off to the right in our room. Off to the left is South America, somebody said it was 6000 miles away. That is about 1/4 of the circumference of the world, a horrendous distance. But I know about a certain Captain Bligh that sailed a big hunk of that distance in an open boat. I also know a descendant of that Captain Bligh who is a devoted employee at Canada Ticket. Hi Rox!
