Finally on board...

Friday, September 15. Cloudy, coolish.

Wow, how many steps today, I have no idea, but it is plenty. As for steps up and down, six trips at the hotel starting with an exploration for coffee around 7:00. Two trips to the Super Market, that really is a Super Market. First tip was an exploratory trip and the second one was a serious shopping trip, each of us with an empty backpack on the way up, and very full on the way down.

We took possession of the boat at a little after noon, but we never got our indoctrination until around 4:00. After that Dave took the boat out for a spin a few hundred yards up the river. Man, parking that baby is a bit of an issue. There was quite a bit to take in as the chap went over the boat, step by step explaining how things work. Good thing that Dave and Alyssa have some boating experience because I/we are completely in the dark.

All in all it was a very busy day and I  am absolutely exhausted. Dave cooked BBQ sausages on deck for dinner tonight, delicious, and after that we just killed the rest of the day. We are staying tied up at the dock here tonight and will depart in the morning.

I am having trouble with my photos tonight and I am going to call it quits when I am ahead.

Fish galore here.

And cheeses.

The street where our quaintsy hotel is.

Off we trek to Le Boat office.

Dave cooked sausages tonight and here he is trying to clear the galley of women folk with baguettes.
