Wednesday May 3. Sunshine, brisk chilly wind. 16 C. Day 120.
Home in 9 days.
Some patches of blue sky gave some glimmer of hope that we may see some sunshine on the way across the Atlantic starting on Saturday. [At least it is warm in Fort Lauderdale]. We arrive in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miquel, Azores tomorrow morning around 7:00.
We have an All Day tour with the Cutlers, our last with them, scheduled before we hang up our cruising shoes for this trip. Fellette has already tucked some clothing aside for the trip home and making sure we do not get caught in a last minute rush for laundry, as nobody who gets ‘free’ laundry will want to take soiled clothing home!
I don’t know how others feel but I am in a bit of a State of Limbo right now. The cruise, that I thought would last forever, is rapidly coming to an end! The excitement and novelty of being Home will soon wear off, I know that. After the mail is sorted, Income Tax handled and some pending issues dealt with in a matter of minutes with High Speed Internet connection, and having access to my records and files, the daily business of home life will dull our memories of the trip until our five cases of luggage are scheduled to arrive May 23rd. Somehow, I will fit in doing the picture book of the cruise.
Also, Top Of The List is to get a quick Vegetable Garden in to make it our 60th Victory Garden, as they were previously called. Next thing you know, it will be Onion and Tomato Harvest Time!
Life carries on.
A Lazy Day...
