The Lumpy Start...

Sunday, February 17. [Departure day.] Sunny.

A so-so sleep and up at 5:00.

All is good, lots of fussing to do, breakfast, bags at the door awaiting the pre-arranged ride by Edward of Cruise Experts, who looks after us so well.

At the pre-appointed time of 9:15 we get a call from the driver wondering where we are. He did not seem to get my instructions to follow my written instructions which were do not attempt to use a navigation system as there are three identical addresses for our home address in this area. So, he arrived 20 minutes late.

Nice fellow Eritean. I had a jolly conversation with him as this is the first time I have knowingly chatted with him. Interesting time, excellent driver and we arrived still three hours ahead of departure time.

We were at the checkin counter where the conveyors had stopped working so we lingered there for 15 minutes, patiently. The clerk advised that the plane was on time, and full, all 320 of us?!@*%&!  Big plane! Soon, all done and off to security. Through that in less than 10 minutes.

While walking to our gate I paused to take a picture for the blog. It was walking  in Duty Free when I decided to take a picture for the blog of two half bottles of Ice Wine for only $221.00. As I was taking the picture, some of my pack, camera or purse tumbled a bottle to the floor smashing it into smitherines. I could not find my 'Make Yourself Invisible Cape" so just tried to locate a clerk for cleanup, but every clerk and person in the place heard the crash and one lady told us to 'Go!' which we did.

I think that those tree glitches this morning are all over and we should have a good trip. What do you think?

Posted at Vancouver Airport at noon Sunday as we will next be in communication for Kong Kong at 7:00 PM Hong Kong time, tomorrow. A 14 hour flight, aren't you envious!

Great wine I hear. Smashed one once!

Year of the Pig in China. My sign in China so I had to be
 photographed with a Pig.
