Some of us more mature folk may remember Bob Hope and Bing Cosby in a series of 'Road Shows' they made in the 1940s to the 60s. My how things have changed in Hong Kong since 1962. There was a great deal of innocent fun made about Asia in those days. Now, they are the powerhouse of the world as we see the dominance of us palefaces diminish in importance in the world.
Great sleep and a lazy Saturday to boot. I only have about 100 things to get out of my mind before we depart tomorrow morning. We don't have anything really major to do, just an endless list if niggely things that we would like to have done.
For example:
- Get both vehicles professionally cleaned at a good car wash to get rid of the grime and road film from driving on roads that have been chemically treated the last two weeks.
- Cleanup the mess of papers in my study
- Make up the beds in the house, for us when we come home and the house-sitter and possible guest.
- Clean out the fridge.
- Print our boarding passes. [This we could not do as we have an onward flight to Vietnam.]
- Consolidate all the paperwork and boil it down to what we 'Need' on this trip.
- Clean up the kitchen area so the house-sitter feels comfortable in it, with non of the usual stuff we may having hanging around there.
We accomplished all this and went to the shop and finished off the cabinets, ready to deliver when we get home.
A bath, dinner, some TV and await the morning when we get on the Road to Hong Kong.
All cleaned up again!
Same for mine.
Fini! Now the two base tables to finish, all the pieces are cut, ready to finish and stain, then assemble. Something to look forward to in early March.
