Our luck ran out and Murphy caught up with us today...

MURPHY'S LAW... "The likelihood that something will go wrong at the time to cause the most inconvenience"

I am sure there may not be much sympathy for us in our anchored floating palace, however we each live in our own little world don't we.

Some of you may know that Fellette and I are in the process of building a new home. [That is another story though.] Yesterday the plans were to be ready for the contractor to start the ball rolling on permits, etc. So, this morning I was quite anxious to find out if that happened.

Also yesterday, son Wally had an extremely important meeting with one of our largest customers. I was up three times in the night to check the computer for a report of the meeting. The last message was at three AM when Wally indicated that the meeting was over and he was on the way home and would write me from there.

At this writing we are anchored in a fjord off the west coast of Greenland, towering cliff-like steep sides on two sides and socked in with heavy clouds and pouring rain. Fellette's comments upon looking out this morning were "This doesn't look like a very inviting place." However Murphy thought he would join us this gloomy day, and so this morning we are unable to pick up a satellite signal to connect to the real world on my two pressing issues.

Maybe this is to be a lesson in patience today. We are firmly anchored here until 5 PM, nine hours from now. The chance of the ship moving is remote because the captain anchored where he did because of winds that made it too dangerous to drop anchor in the intended spot further in.
