Saturday, January 10. Clear. 25 C.
Another early morning for us, awake at 5:3o to coffee. We lingered in bed for some time just us and the coffee. Fellette is still in pain all the time. She does admit that it is somewhat less intense than it was before, plus the fact that she is getting better when she moves to avoid the pain. Many of you have no doubt had some issues as I had when I had my shoulders replaced. There is a recognizable line in your range-of-motion that you know you will encounter pain if you cross that line. Fellette also has quite a high threshold of pain. Enough of that.
It is very nice to almost be in the tropics where the weather is almost never bad, except when it rains it can really rain.
We are docked in a so-so part of town, a very old Terminal Building with a lot of Security People whiling their boring day away and not having much of a job but all smiling and happy-looking.
We took an Uber to Ala Moana shopping centre, The World's Biggest Outdoor Shopping Centre. 350 stores. That is not a good thing when you are on a mission and not the least bit interested in browsing, however we did manage to tough it out and back to the ship in time for a late lunch and then a two hour nap!
It almost seems a sin, but tomorrow we are looking forward to not even getting off the ship. The pool is tempting for Fellette, but I think it may be a bit of a risk, no telling what muscles she has to use in the water, even to tread water it seems they are all arms and chest, ugh.
Today was nothing to write home about but it proved we can get around and about on our own more than we thought we could after a rather wild week under our belt.
