Tomorrow, Singapore. This is the last of three sea days. Three is about the limit before people get edgy and want to get ashore. [Of course I am speaking from my own point of view.]
Today we did our regular routine, but had to get up in the dark as we are approaching the limit of a time zone change that has likely been altered due to a specific countries' needs. This morning I cajoled Fellette to have coffee on the deck somewhat earlier than she likes to come out as I wanted to talk to her about a session I attended yesterday. When I do this type of thing all she does is listen and it seems to help somehow. It did today.
After that we did our exercise regime and had breakfast, that seems to get lighter each passing day, then took in the port talk on Penang, Thailand, coming up a couple of days after Singapore. Fellette and I then had a tour of the galley, sort of, we ate in the galley. I would rather have a tour of it than eat in it but it was better than never getting down there. They crammed about 120 of us in there. The meal was great and we get to chat with some new people each time we go to one of these things.
Back to the cabin where I got down to some serious work on a photo book of this cruise. Nobody other than a very few people will ever look at one of those books so I do it for us. If I don't have it almost complete by the time we get off the ship it will take forever and possibly never get done. As a matter of fact I completed the China book on the ship and that was 11 months ago. One gets involved with life after getting home and it goes very far down the priority list I am afraid.
Before dinner we had a 'Reception' by the hostess provided by our travel agent's professional organization so we get to do the socializing thing again as we munch on appetizers and as many drinks as you want. Oddly enough I have cut down on those two things, food and drink!
We took a break from the dining room today, as we had our main meal at lunchtime and e dined in the Lido buffet upstairs, salad!
Today's nautical term…
A Square Meal. In good weather, a ship's crew's dinner was a warm meal served on square wooden platters
