Long but great day...

Monday, April 1. Sunny until Cape Town, then some clouds!

We were up around six, had tea, coffee and a leisurely breakfast and were picked up at 10.00 for transfer to Shaka Airport at Durban, maybe a three hour trip down south through the Zulu countryside. Then a two-hour flight to Cape Town where we were met and whisked off to the ship in the most expeditious manner. After 25 minutes in the cabin we changed clothes and were off to see the night and lights of Cape Town in the safety of the immediate waterfront where it was bustling with people and fun.

Jim had his zebra steak, Gail had a traditional South African meat pie and Fellette and I had fish and chips in fond memory of such meals at the waterfront with son Craig and Sister Moe.

It has been a long day, we are back on board safely and that big bed looks pretty darn nice with it's six fluffy pillows that I missed so much the last four nights. I will just show you our day in pictures, from around 9.30 this morning to arriving at the ship today around 6.00, today, you figure out what is happening, I am off to bed…

  1. Zebra steak? Did it taste like chicken? Surely Jim did't purchase it at Wimpy's!
