Good Friday, April 18. Gray sky, gentle seas, about F 70 out.
Day 104 of 113, [10 more sleeps].
At this stage of the cruise I usually ramble a bit, reminiscing about the time we have had, or what we are looking forward to at home. Today is that day. There is no doubt we are looking forward to home, however we have yet to do, the Atlantic Crossing and four days in the Caribbean where we have four exciting shore excursions planned.
Many people, no doubt somewhere in the US and Canada, are looking forward to a 10 day cruise such as we are now encountering, with great enthusiasm. They have saved up the money and can't wait to board their ship somewhere in Florida. We must not lose sight of that fact and become blasé about our very privileged life as we enter the last 10 days of our trip.
The following is written with a big Thank You to the Almighty for the great trip we are on, and the wonderful time we have had the last 104 days.

Here, in no particular order, are some of the things I/we will miss when we get home…
- The feel of the ship, gently rolling when in bed.
- Lunch with Jim & Gail, at sea, catching up with their day.
- Ironed pyjamas.
- Mornings on the balcony with tea and coffee as the day comes to life.
- Fresh grapes in the cabin every morning.
- Bed linen changed every few days.
- Six great pillows.
- Seeing Fellette in bed in the morning, reading and doing crossword puzzles without a care in the world.
- Fellette not having to cook, clean & grocery shop.
- The laundry being done by others.
- Looking over the menu and deciding what delicacy to have for dinner.
- Sea Days: Reading the programme and planning the day.
- Port Days: Stepping ashore and immediately being surprised as to how the day unfolds.

We had a somewhat busy day today: Morning tea and coffee on deck, exercises for Doug, a walk around the top deck in the light rain, like true Canadians, a morning lecture, a good read after lunch, an afternoon lecture on volcanoes, and then I sat through and episode of Dancing With The Stars in the lounge with Jim and Gail before going for dinner with the Cutlers'. Fellette had crafts and choir practice this afternoon. Actually, I enjoyed the Dancing With The Stars more than I thought that I might.
We had dinner with Jim and Gail in the Italian Restaurant this evening. A wonderful evening to reflect on the last three months and appreciate how lucky we are. It was a sort of wind-up to the cruise before the hectic four days in the Caribbean and then two days getting to Fort Lauderdale as people pack their suitcases and their mind and body is forced back into the real world.
Pics.
- Our dining room table last night.
- Doug and his Happy Hat eagerly drawing the route on the map as the ship comes into view on the right hand side, starting to complete the circumnavigation.
- Where in the world are we. The oval above is Fort Lauderdale.
- Two pics from Dancing With The Stars.
- Craig's house is being demolished as we speak.
- Dinner tonight.
