Monday, April 21. Calm seas, blue sky and F 81.
Once again, after a time zone change, back, we awoke too early. However it was light enough to have a leisurely time on the deck with tea and coffee. Fellette was a bit hungry so we ate a bit early. After breakfast we were back to the deck for some reading before the stewards cleaned our room and then we packed two more cases. Things are moving along well in that regard. My job was to record the items in the case and put a value on them which is a requirement for the Fedex people as far as I know. At least it was on the way down.
Lunch and then rehearsal time for Fellette for the Choir at the Passenger Talent Show. I went down early to the Queen's Lounge to get a decent seat to photograph and worked on Fellette's iPad and photos for her while I waited the hour away.
The Talent show was very good. I certainly admire the spirit of some of those people who get up in front of their peers and belt out a song or whatever. The acts today ran the gamut of: two female elderly comediennes, two or three singers, a quartet, an opera singer, a belly dancer, and a song by an overweight black lady doing 'Hello Big Spender'. There may have been some others. Finally the choir did their thing and it was all over. All in all the acts were great and lots of laughs and all in good fun.
In reality, it was more like a show that you might expect at an Old Folks Home, but this is not a Carnival 10 day cruise in the Caribbean you know!
We are missing the Family Easter Dinner at home, Jeanette is having a dinner for some of the family as I type this.
We had drinks with Jim and Gail in our cabin before dinner tonight, it has been quite some time since we have done that. Good time. After dinner we went to the show in The Lounge, but I posted the blog before I could comment on that.
Barbados tomorrow morning, when I switch on my phone and catch up with the real world for four days.
