After we came back from our morning tour, we had lunch with the rest of the train who had come up for lunch to the camp.
After lunch we had a bit of a performance put on by the locals and the employees of the camp. By now we have become a bit used to this Mongol thing and are not really looking forward to getting back on the train. The Chinese train, which we board tomorrow night has been toted as less luxurious than this train. However, we are on the way for THREE nights in a five star hotel in Beijing. That big, big, bed sounds appealing about now.
I am writing this back on the train, which moves away in a few minutes and who knows when and where I may be able to connect again.
Last time we were in China the government blocked my attempts to do a blog and I had to do it via Craig, who posted it. We will see tomorrow.
We cross into China sometime around noon tomorrow, get off this train and spend the afternoon and evening in a Chinese Border Town and join the Chinese train at 9:00. We are told that we will see our bags again in the hotel in Beijing. In spite of being where we are and the apparent inefficiencies that abound here, I believe this will happen!
Our afternoon in pictures…

Our train arrives and we board, for the last time?
