Life on the train...

Saturday, August 18, lovely Russian summer day.

Wow, this is an adventure. Life in miniature! Tiny cabin but a decent toilet are that also doubles as a shower. Very tight living.

There are about 175 passengers on board who all paid a fortune and no doubt are all shocked at how small their cabin is. Fellette managed to squirrel away all of our stuff in about an hour. Still, it is cluttered and congested.

This train is very smooth and really rockets across the countryside.I quite enjoy it as does Fellette. The staff speaks very little English but are very attentive, We have a conductor in the car with us who looks after everything, everything. His name is Pavel.

I have not heard a train whistle since we have been on board. During the night I think we changed locomotives, [diesel] or engineers. When we started up I thought thought he was trying to commit suicide he went so fast. Maybe it was just the darkness and my imagination. surprisingly we slep have decently but up at 4.00

PS... Forgive me if these posts are coming through in the wrong order. It would appear that when we are on the train between stations, Internet is spotty at best and normally non-existent!
