We had a full six inches of snow last night and the roads were like Siberia. Wally and Katrina got in at two last night and at six he was up, off to work to clear the parking lot and the drains on the roof for when it thaws.
We were off to church early, but once again, no church, we visited Wally then located the Gray's and had our Sunday coffee with them, fond Farewell there. Then to the Farm to say goodbye to Jeanette and Robert, then to Craig's for another coffee and a Farewell there as well. [Sentimental me eh?]
We had lunch with Wally and Katrina then around 2:30 Wally drove us to the airport hotel where I finally accepted the fact that "We are really, really going on this trip!" To me, it is nothing short of a miracle.
I may be selfish, but this is a heck of a good time to be going to warmer weather. [Or at least, part of the time to warmer weather.] The difficulty on this trip has been the packing and we are not sure if we have packed the right clothes for the various climates we will encounter the next 10 weeks. Believe it or not we are lugging our Panama Hats around and hope to finally put them on in Miami. Panama hats are a favourite of mine put only in warm weather. [Panama hats make me feel good for some reason.]
We check in at 6.00 am tomorrow morning and arrive in Miami around 8.45 pm, have a five minute cab ride and spend the night in Miami before getting an Uber to join the ship on Tuesday. The ship sails at 8.00 that night, then two days at sea before we hit our first port which is Isle de Providencia, Columbia, unless there has a been a change in plans.
Early flight tomorrow, so, early night tonight!
Early flight tomorrow, so, early night tonight!
OK, enough of that, I want to show you how our day went, before we left for the airport:
Coffee with Don and CJ for the last time until March sometime.
Wally at work this morning.
Jeanette at the Farm this AM. A pool is always a concern in cold weather.
Craig and I this AM at his house.
The Farm driveway!
Our driveway this AM.
Or shop this AM.
Our picnic table this AM.
Wally dropping us off at the airport this afternoon. Note the bag Fellette is holding
with our Panama Hats?
Believe it or not, three years today, ago to almost the hour, Wally dropped us off at the airport for the start of another once-in-a-lifetime World Cruise! Are we blessed?
At the Fairmont at the airport. Finally.
All cozy and relaxing in the suite before dinner.
