Saturday, January 7

Our choice today was  to go rafting on a local river with Jim and Gail. The ride took maybe 3/4 of an hour where we changed into wet water gear, got our helmets, life jackets and paddles.

After a few paddles we were off, first we had to get out and lift the boat across a island of very large rocks to the main channel, while getting out, Fellette stepped into a large hole and sunk up to her chest, she did pop up and carried on.

After maybe 1 1/2 hour of great fun we were all soaked and had our first experience with white water rafting. These were six man boats and the rapids were modest but it was very exciting for us.

After landing we were transported back to the same spot as we started and had food and drink and dried out a bit.

Back at the ship I downloaded Jim's and my photos and went outside the port to a WiFi cafe, had a $2.00 beer and a nice gent put my phone and iPad on line and I spent the next 1/2 hour catching up with kids.

The rest of the afternoon was spent resting as my legs, now neck and shoulders are wondering what I have done to them. [nice to have aches and pains from too much exercise again!]

Dinner and then back to the cabin for me to do a blog, journal and sort my pictures. Fellette went to the show.

I tried to send my blog at 12.30 PM from my computer to no avail so here I am doing it again on my iPad again!!!

Panama Canal transit tomorrow and then three days at sea before we hit Manta in Ecuador where the make Panama Hats. [Story  on that later]

This is why women love a cruise: waiting for dinner to be served!

See, There we are!
