3rd Sea Day...

Thursday, January 12. Same blue sky but more motion in the ocean today. 24 C.

Today, Fellette went for an after-breakfast swim [in fresh water], about 24 C, in the heated pool. Nice apparently. I am going to try the Tai Chi class at 8:00 am each sea day. Gail is there: an inspiration to me. There are about 25 to 30 attending, including about five men. Balance is an issue for all with the ships movement, I struggle with balance without bouncing around on a ship! About 20 years ago I took Tai Chi onboard a British Ship. There was a man/wife Tai Chi instructors team which worked well. The husband instructed and the wife would move about and help people. They were organized: played the appropriate music and had sheets to hand out so we could practise in our rooms. Oh well, that was then and this is now. [It is a bit of a workout and feels good afterward!]

Other than that, today was a repeat of the last two days. I appreciate the peace and quiet, quite like our life at home but living in a tiny cottage in a village with about 1600 other people and 750 servants!

Fellette has joined a crocheting group called Project Linus. The ship supplies the yarn and tools. The object is to crochet Baby Blankets which are then given to some needy group somewhere along the cruise, at this time the recipients are unknown.

When we do get to the first Island port, Nuku Hiva, in French Polynesia, January 18 we are less than half way across the Pacific. Big Ocean.

Good Quiet Day...
