Friday, January 13. Same sea, same sky as the last three days.
We are still sailing south west to Nuku Hiva, and not even half way there, and, when we do get there we are just half way to New Zealand. [This is certainly not a highly populated part of the world.] Imagine being in a life raft out here waiting for a passing ship to save you! Good luck on that.
Today, Fellette did her swim thing while I am trying to look semi-dignified, struggling with the moving ship and balance issues on the Tai Chi class at 8:00 AM. At the end of 45 minutes I am drained from just trying to keep in my position let alone do any fancy footwork. I will persevere a bit longer methinks.
It is unfortunate that the weak internet, and often no internet signal prevents me from sending pictures as I know you are all interested to see what the endless ocean looks like each day, after day, after day, after day.
We crossed the equator today, but King Neptune apparently has granted us permission to have the ceremony, for those who have never crossed it before, when we cross it in March off the West coast of Africa. Holy cow that seems like a long trip to me, something exciting has to happen soon or we will have people aboard dying of boredom!
I have started back into some stretching routines for this body of mine. I did it for years and years but during Covid I stopped for some reason. It is amazing how keeping your flexibility as you get older is so important. I suppose that I thought that it was not doing and good so I just stopped. It hurts do it now but now I know it was doing some good.
Very Relaxing Day...
