Sunday, January 8.
The term they use is 'Transiting' the Panama Canal, in our case from the Atlantic Ocean, [Caribbean side] to the Pacific Ocean. I took us from about 6:00 AM to sometime around 3:30 PM in the afternoon, the cost for this ship would be around $300,000 minimum for us. The announcer probably mentioned it but I did not hear it.
It is terribly hot out, draining to be more precise. As a result of that, after a failed attempt to walk around the promenade because of blockages front and rear, we retired to our air-conditioned cabin and deck for the afternoon. It was a good few hours to get some peace and quiet.
I actually got one of the books that I brought with me down from the book rack last night, the intent was good however I never even opened the book. My priority was to get Fellette set up so she can at least access her email to keep up to date with Family and friends for the next four months! That took some doing for the usual 'Unknown Reasons' We did get it done however: Nothing seems to be simple anymore.
An OK Day…
A scorcher today...
Passing under The Bridge of America.
On the far right is the enlarged third canal at the Pacific side to the canal, we are heading to the older narrower canals on the extreme left.
Us two. We have not yet seen Jim and Gail today, now after lunch.
Too hot to be on deck unless you are a Sun-Seeker.
