5th Sea Day...

Saturday, January 14. Same as yesterday, calm, warm, relaxing.

Life is settling down, for me at least. Masks being optional is part of the reason. Another is that we now know where things are, in the cabin at least! It will take many, many more days to get to know the ship.

It is actually a bit of heaven living on a cruise ship, what is not to like? Somebody brings coffee and some fruit at what time we want in the morning: we choose 6:00 AM. Actually Fellette is wide awake within a few minutes of 5:00 and makes her own cup or cups of coffee before I am awake. After we have had coffee we usually wander down the hall to The Neptune Lounge where we have our real breakfast, generally, a muesli mix with added yogurt and some more fruit, a piece of brown toast and another coffee, maybe.

The room steward[s] come in to our suite and make the beds, renew what linen has to be renewed, wipe down all the surfaces and make the place look spiffy again, including vacuuming the whole place every day. They leave us alone till after we leave for dinner when they come in again and tidy the place up, check and tidy the bathroom again, turn the bed down and leave information for tomorrow’s activities. Pretty nice I would say: more like decadent.

On the downside, I do miss the close contact that I have with my family. It may be considered unusual by others, but that doesn’t matter, I cherish the closeness of our family. The five of us built a business from the ground up and there appears to be a special bonding that developed between us all that I certainly do miss. I also do miss  keeping abreast of our company that our youngest son Wally, now manages. There would be something wrong with me if I didn’t give a damn wouldn’t there

Good Day Here…[Looking forward to being on land again and a bit better internet though.]
