Blog

Friday evening , January 6. At sea between Jamaica and Costa Rica. Calm seas, blue skies.

Some semblance of order seems to be settling in, other that the internet which I seem to fight with, the speed seems to be fine so far but I seem to have difficulty keeping connected. Some young Geeks seems to have invented a system that it is essential to have a smart phone to do almost anything, or keep up to date with what is happening.

No more tour tickets are issued to you, oh no, 'It's on your App.' Is the answer. I struggle with it and I consider myself reasonably adept at computers and technology. Pity the elderly with poor eyes and shaky hands and relied at home for help on the iPhone.

It was any easy day, I thought that I had things pretty well tidied up until I wanted to send a second blog today just to make sure things were really working as far as the computer. Roadblock. I could not get on and had to go down the hall with my computer to get connected. Pain In The Ass!

We had our first Formal Dinner tonight and a Captain's greeting in the main Theatre area, for all passengers. Quite a pleasant thing and most people were appropriately dressed as well, which was very nice to see.

We had the covid test in the morning, at dinner the captain commented on it at the dinner table. Of course they report in a way that they do not give any real answers. So, we interpret it to mean that there is covid on the ship. We will therefore continue with the masks for a few more bloody days.

Please understand that I am trying to gets the bugs out before this cruise is over! My apologies for the foul language, that is unfortunately how I get rid of some of my frustration.

So, So Day...

Captains time to introduce some of his officers.

First attempt at a selfie on a tripod in our room.
