Clear blue sky, warmer a bit.
Today was a very busy day it seems.
A cruise is supposed to be relaxing, but for some reason I have a bit of a guilt feeling if I do not participate in the activities that the ship has planned for us. I know that is pretty dumb and I am trying to divest myself of that feeling. The result would be of course not to have a relaxing tour.
For example... Today the ship has a 'Walk For a Cause' on for the Cancer Cause. A 5 KM walk at 10:00 am. How could I not participate and donate to that? So, of course we signed up. Church was at 9:00 am, so of course we go to that. The Walk started right after church, at 10:00. I walked with the very large group of about 100 for about 10 minutes before I got annoyed with couples holding hands and waddling along blocking anybody who wanted to walk 5 Ks in less than the three hours they would take. I bailed out and walked up top, all alone and it was beautiful, but I still had feelings about why I felt angry about things. Maybe too much close quarters with strangers, too much food, too much non-productive time, out of touch with business and family and friends. Who knows, maybe I am just having a bad day.
There were four interesting talks today, at 11:00, 1:00, 2.00 and 3:00. We had to squeeze lunch in there somehow. So much for a 'relaxing day at sea'. [I did skip one talk and rested.]
Tomorrow we are in port for a seven hour coach trip to see some penguins, which I am looking forward to. We have to be up at 5:30, ready to go at 6:45 and will be back on board at 2:30 to 3:00 likely, then we get cleaned up for a Formal Night with cocktails with the captain at 6:30, [this is a thing they have for people in the 'suites' to having bragging rights about hob-nobbing with the captain who really could not give a damn about us, socially, really.]
I really should not be putting this down on paper and in the blog because at this point I think the demons have me. Why, is the questions that I so often ponder.

On the development front...
Things are finally going to start happening, [I think!] Langley has given the green light and Scott is now about to take control of the development and get some shovels in the ground. However, the site is now covered in about a foot of snow as I understand. I am anxious to get in touch with him, somehow and find out what his plans are. The only good thing about the timing is that the building of the new homes on the lots should be what is called a 'dry build', that means built in the drier months, traditionally, of May to September. At least the roofs are on by the time the fall rains come.
It is nice to be back into warmer weather, even if that only means we have two layers on instead of three!
Tonight they are playing the Super Bowl on the big screen on the ship. Unfortunately it starts at 8:00 and will be about three hours long. That does not fit in with a good rest before a busy and interesting day tomorrow. I believe Jim and Gail may catch some of this, but they too have an early morning along with us on the same tour tomorrow.
The endless wake behind us with some Albatross following us relentlessly. [The foreground is a glass roof covering an eating area.]
