This is a sea day so the 'The living is easy'. A leisurely breakfast, a few laps around the deck and a taste of exercise, just a taste, nothing heavy, and then a talk on Brazil: From Republic to Dictatorship 1889 to 1984, after which I had a nap! Fellette, Jim and Gail went to see a demo on herbs and spices.
Soon it was lunch then shortly another talk: Ocean Transportation: The birth of a Sea Plane. Some more quiet time with books and for me pictures and the blog. Next was dinner and then in the Showroom at Sea at 8.00: 'A selection of Favourite Songs From the West End and Broadway' by the ships singers and dancers.
Pretty tough day eh? I can take this for a while but certainly need a little more excitement in my life. Tomorrow we will explore with Jim and Gail, Salvador, Brazil. I have no idea what to expect. We were here many years ago but took a trip to a town outside so it will all be new to us tomorrow.
Overlooking a hot tub, tiny pool and lounging and dining area. There is a larger pool at the back of the ship. Where is everybody you ask? I often wonder, the only place you ever see a crowd it seems is in the buffet at lunch time.
A ground level look at the shot above. We have never laid on a lounger, it is too hot but we often have meals out there.
Awaiting the speaker in the Showroom at Sea as they call it.
Students often arrive 1/2 hour early to get their favourite seat for the speaker[s]. The talks usually last 45 minutes.
In the very quiet library and computer room.
A sitting area for small groups etc. Or just to sit and read out of the way.
Of course you always get a good reception when you walk into the jewelry shop.
Elevators at both ends of the ship.
This is a little quiet dining area for a light meal, or refreshments. It is available to the people who book a suite. The coffee maker there is fabulous.
