Somewhere in India...

Tuesday February 11. Cool.

It is 6:23 am somewhere in India. It sounds dramatic but I as still half asleep and don’t know the exact location.  Dawn is just breaking and I am the only white person on the boat that is dressed and up. I am sitting at the table sipping sweet hot Indian Tea with milk: delicious.

We tumbled off to our respective bedrooms around 7:00 last night after a meal of Indian origin, likely modified somewhat for our bellies. There is a mosquito net, albeit it with one hole in it, that Fellette is under right now having her morning wake-up routine with her I-Pad scrabble, puzzles and likely solitaire. The Cutler’s are in their cabin, also possibly awake.

The experience of the past day and night was beautiful. I do not have one complaint about the whole involvement. Our guide on the coach on the way here stressed that comfort was not the main thing, it was the Experience that we were to enjoy. I found both. I had a lovely shower before dinner and I found the bed, in which I spent 11 hours [!] to be as comfortable as the bed on the ship. The mosquitoes were minimal as well. The local ambience for lack of a better word was amazing. Fortunately my ear plugs drowned out the noise of the air conditioner during the night

Outside somewhere there is some Indian music playing softly in the area where all five of the boats in the group moored for the night. It is really a Magical Moment here for me. The heat will soon be upon us as the sun rises above the trees and bears down upon us no doubt. In the meantime, I am enjoying my solitude, the music, the tea and the moment.

Soon enough we will be back on the ship and resume our journey.

Thanks for letting me share with you.

Fellette and her morning routine.
Dawn is breaking
The tea is wonderful and the urge to write overcame me.
