Sri Lanka Dead Ahead...

Tuesday February 4. Some chop on the water, cloudy and moderate temperature.

Sea Day number 10.

Today was Passenger Talent Show day and Crew Talent Show in the evening.

It appears that the British are also not afraid to volunteer for getting up on the stage on Passenger Talent shows. Today there was a nine person Drama Class skit, two stand-up comedians, a pianist who sings, and two couples who sang and read poetry and an elderly soloist. All very English indeed, but good to see, some hilarious.

In the afternoon performers today were: the Choir Fellette that sings in, and a Ukulele Band.

In the morning there was a great talk on the Silk Road trade route and its impact on European tastes and the effect on the textile industry. It all sounds terribly boring but I/we find it interesting.

At lunch today they had another fabulous Seafood Buffet. This is near the end of another leg of the cruise and that means a changeover in Sri Lanka in the next couple of days so it was the Captain's Farewell Reception before a Formal Night dinner.

After dinner we packed our small back-pack for the overnight tour in Sri Lanka. It will feel good to get off the ship and no doubt good to get on again after two days ashore.

They are constantly repairing and chipping away at rust and somebody is always painting.
Mermaid sighted.
Overcast and a bit of chop on the ocean but hot as blazes earlier.
An interesting skit put on by a passenger drama club. Hilarious.
An interesting talk on The Silk Road and its consequences.
The Choir. Fellette second from left in front row.
Seafood Buffet for lunch again.
Singing her heart out!
Yup, a chocolate fountain at lunch. Fellette was just walking by.
Ukulele players have fun it seems.
Us four at the captain's farewell party tonight. A couple of hundred people get off in one day and an equal amount get on, we think. Photo taken by a person sitting next to us.
