That was the 'subject'of an Email from my friend in England Tuesday afternoon. Up to 40 cm [16 inches] of snow is forecast for southern England tomorrow.
Upon arising very early this morning to post the blog [and check on the UK weather], our plans have suddenly changed.
We will be going from Heathrow to our friend's home via a taxi instead of them picking us up, and we are staying in Southampton the night before sailing due to the snow conditions in Southern England. The possibility of missing the ship's sailing time is too risky to contemplate.
So be it, we are on way to sunny weather, all the better that we leave during cold and chaotic conditions.
Isn't it odd that Canada is usually the country that one associates with snow and ice, not sunny England. It is however a Northern Country.
