More anticipations...

Yesterday I mentioned some things we are looking forward to while on the ship. Today, some pluses and minuses:

- Cruising is great because you never have to make a meal. On the other hand we miss being able to prepare a simple meal ourselves. We do really miss a cold glass of fresh milk.

- Cruising is great because of the after-dinner entertainment. However, we also miss being able to stretch out and relax in a lounge chair in front of the TV in the evening, and actually nodding off!

- Cruising is great because you get to dress up and go out so often. On the other hand, being in jeans and in your favourite old shirt that my wife keeps mending and trying to throw out, and not shaving one day is a treat for me at least.

- No beds to make, no cleaning to do, basically no work of any manner. I miss doing things with my hands, actually making something or doing something physical. Going to the gym [Spa on the ship], does not give the same feeling of accomplishment. Besides, I detest those physical-fitness freaks who virtually live in there.

- Cruising is great because you can take the time to really get into reading. However on a ship, reading puts me to sleep. But that is not a bad thing.

'Dressed for Dinner' on Oriana in 2000. Southampton to San Francisco with sister Moe and friends met the year before on Oriana. Looks like it was Black and White Night.
