Goodbye Keith and Jenny...

Wednesday January 8. Much warmer today.

A great sleep and a healthy breakfast before The Stafford's picked us up around 10:30 and headed for the Melbourne Zoo. [Us and about a zillion other Melburnians taking their kids who are on Summer Vacations.] The little kids and mixed ethnicity added to the colour and fun of the day.

Jeanette and I went when we were here on a business trip in 1986. Keith and Jenny have not been for many years as well so it was a treat for everybody. It was a very relaxing day, in spite of the heat but we were mostly in the canopy on the wide walkways between exhibits. We did manage to find many reasons to sit and rest along the way. Nice to chat with Keith for a few hours. Jenny and Fellette get along famously and were chattering all the time it seemed.

We ate on a covered verandah by a water fowl pond and had our lunch. Keith dropped Jenny off on the way to our hotel, where we said another farewell to Jenny, our seventh, and shortly did the same to Keith at our hotel. Till we meet again, who knows when, who knows where?

These cuties kept posing while I was waiting to get a picture of the gorilla.

Then this cutie got in the way.

Just hanging around.

Camera battery issue.

Tigers sleep too you know.

Asian elephant.

It was very warm in there, but absolutely full of gorgeous butterflies.

It looked like it was plastic.

On a youngsters hand.

Just a sit down.

Lunch.

Jacarada tree, spectacular.

Goodbye Jenny! They built the house when first married, 56 years ago I believe.
