Saturday January 18. Warm again, 30 C, nice day in seas like a mill pond.
We seem to have caught 'Sleeping Sickness'. Nine and a half hours last night for Fellette, nine for me. That is after a sea day where the activity level is down. We planned to have one coffee in the morning and then get outside and walk the deck while cool, then go to breakfast.
This we did. There were four others on deck at 7:15. One gent reading, one young man walking, [likely crew] and one couple aft, the lady with a camera and the gent just sitting absorbing the coolness and tranquility of the morning.
I always come to life outside. It just feels good to walk and breathe it all in. Fast walking is not my thing however so I am cautious of overtakers sneaking up on me. Fellette prefers to go faster. To me it is not as enjoyable if I have to rush it. To each his own. We did a mile before breakfast. We did watch the flying fish for a while. interesting little critters and impossible to photograph.
There is not anything on the agenda today that takes my fancy so I have a 'free day!'. Fellette on the other hand has two Choir Practices today the latter a Dress Rehearsal for their first concert on Passenger Talent night two days hence.
Our clocks go back and hour tonight as we slowly move westward and a bit south. We are now about the same latitude as Nairobi, Kenya.
To morrow we are in Ambon, Indonesia where we are not on tour but walking off and exploring on our own, us four.
Today, we walk in that direction! Any questions?
It looks like the scenery in the Gulf Islands. Except you would likely get eaten alive on them, by something!
Fellette's Choir Practice yesterday. She is over on the far side just to the right of the pillar on the left in the second window pane from the left. Lousy picture into the sun.
This speaker is about the most animated person I have seen doing presentations. This talk was on photographing wildlife.
'Crossing the Line' Ceremony yesterday afternoon. The Captain is dressed as a woman, as is the Cruise Director, who ended up in the water.
The scene as seen from two decks up. HOT as blazes there. Some people can seem to take the heat better than others.
We get these Canapés delivered to us an hour before dinner. Kind of fun and makes the 'dressing for dinner' time a bit classier!
We are in a different world sometimes, good memories.
Us Two dressed up for dinner last night.
