The plane landed a bit early so the flight was only 13 hours and 15 minutes, [half a lifetime], all in the dark. We were checked into our hotel by 7:00 AM, still in the dark! We were visibly mentally impaired, I am sure. Looking out the window on the 6th floor, it was still dark!
We have to leave Auckland tomorrow morning at 5:00 AM for the flight to Melbourne so Fellette arranged to get tomorrow's breakfast, today. [So we had lunch at 9:30 AM inasmuch as we had breakfast at 4:30 AM!]
We had a great long walk in the breezy NZ summer. Great to be out and free again. We went for an early dinner about a kilometre way on the waterfront. Best Italian dinner in our lives. The waitress was a Kiwi girl, after a brief introduction to the menu I said "Why don't you just feed us?" She was delighted. She brought us small portions of some of the most delicious Italian foods we have ever eaten! Great way to end a brief but delightful stopover here.
The Kiwi's are a delightful group of people. We have never met one we did not get along with. Fun-loving, happy and friendly people. No put-on heirs with them. Rather casual, like us. Good to have as cousins along with the Aussies.
Great day today after we finally came to life!

Our hotel across the water.
A very quaintsy Ferry Terminal building, in a construction zone for now.
Mission accomplished: Fellette's iPad cord!
Old Auckland is changing, building by building.
Cruise Ship Season is underway here.
The Auckland icon, the Sky Tower. [A Casino.]
On the walk to dinner.
Waitress Nicole, who served us a memorable meal and made the trip here more memorable for a couple of hours.
Welcome to the other side of the World.... and have fun while you renew life time friendships.... Cheers, Rod
