Cape Town Tomorrow...

Monday, March13. Calm seas, slightly cloudy sky. 21 C. Day 69.

We are taking advantage of the Sea Day to just plain Relax! That is what we came on this trip to do. It is very easy to get caught up in the activities on board and always have to be ‘doing something’ rather than relaxing. Port Days can easily become a bit of an endurance test. I have had my share of those, yesterday being one of them. It was great at times, but a lot of  boredom in between those exciting times.

We are looking forward to Cape Town tomorrow, we have great memories of it with son Craig and sister Moe. We are on a ship’s tour tomorrow at 9:00 to an Ostrich Farm and a wine tasting session in there somewhere. Should be a good day.

We are in Cape Town the next day as well, sailing at 11:00 pm, heading north for Europe where we hit the Straits of Gibraltar April 8: 24 days hence. In the meantime we will be bumping our way north visiting 12 African ports on the way up. That works out to a port every other day, goodbye long stretches of Sea Days! We have not really had such a busy time as we have ahead of us. Then it is April and Europe where we have 24 ports in 30 days, then it really gets almost too much to comprehend. Rest up while we can I say!

After dinner tonight there was bit of entertainment for us. Two women and the brother of one of them entertained us for a half hour with some African Soul Music I guess you could call it. Very nice to go to bed with that music in your head.

A Good Day Relaxing Day…

Fellette turned in her third quilt today, she will likely start another today.

African Singing tonight.
