Wednesday, April 5. A cool 16 C, very rocky seas and white sky. Long pants weather. 36 days to go.
We are chugging up the coast of Morocco, arriving in Casablanca early tomorrow morning. We are sometimes within cell phone range along the coast, but we cannot see the coast all the time because of the fog or haze.
The tone of the ship seems to have changed a bit, I sense, or is it only me? Morocco was well received by most who are seeing it for the first time, but the sharp change in temperature the last few days have made me/us realize for the next few weeks will be in a First World Environment and the tropical cruise of the last three months is over, for sure.
We are looking forward to the very busy next 30 days and 24 ports before we make the crossing to North America and home. We are gearing up for something we have never experienced in all of our days at sea with so many ports. I am really hoping my foot problem does not complicate life for me.
Our day was very simple. Choir practice for Fellette and Gym for me. I found a new piece of equipment in the gym that I can use to strengthen my thigh muscles that seem to have become a bit wobbly in the last three months. Gyms and exercise can become addictive.
A Good Day…
Rainbow this morning in Agadir. We stayed overnight for some reason and sailed at 7:00 am.
‘Ice Cream Social’ on deck this afternoon at 3:00. Like kids, they all lined up, patiently.
And, for a few dollars you can pour all kinds of drinks on top of your bowl of ice cream!
Jewish Passover Dinner tonight. Setting up for over 300. I was not aware there was that many Jewish people on board. We made the mistake of going to one, once.
My much younger wife keeps crocheting away, three more rows to go.
